It has recently confirmed that this new hatchback will be named as the all-new Santro. As a result, bringing back the popular moniker to India. Based on a new platform and offering a whole array of features, the 2018 Hyundai Santro promises to score better than the competition across all parameters.
Launch Date:- We were expecting to see its first public debut in India during the 2018 Auto Expo. However, that did not happen. Now we expect Hyundai to launch the next-generation of this vehicle in India sometime during the October Festive Season
Price in India:- It will find its place in-between the Eon and the Grand i10. Consequently, expect the prices to fall in the range of INR 3.5 Lakh to INR 6 Lakh.
Engine Specifications:- This is going to be the same 1.1-litre motor that the current spec i10 uses. This motor produces 68 BHP of power along with 99 Nm of peak torque. The 2018 Santro is going to get a 5-speed manual transmission as standard. Hyundai might also introduce an automatic variant as well.
Mileage:-Entry-level vehicles from Hyundai are known for their frugal nature. Consequently, we expect this car to deliver close to 20 km/l of average fuel economy.
Safety Features:- This hatchback will also score high in terms of its safety quotient. Right from the base variant, the 2018 Santro is going to get ABS with EBD and dual airbags as standard.
